Depending on the size and complexity of your construction project an Environmental Management Plan (EMP) may be required as a part of the tendering process or by state Environmental Legislation ! Additionally, many planning and development application permits for larger construction projects can include specific permit conditions that require the production of an environmental management plan.
The initial phase of every EMP includes an environmental assessment which leads to a detailed environmental risk assessment and management strategy. Every EMP then considers detailed measures to satisfy the following environmental management issues as a minimum :
Erosion and dust control
Noise and Vibration
Contaminated material and wastes
Miscellaneous environmental Issues (chemical storage, air quality, litter, road cleaning, emergency procedures etc)
Inspections , Monitoring and audits
We can produce a site specific EMP that will comply with the core requirements of Australian Standard Environmental Management Systems and the relevant State Environmental Legislation.
